Here at Château de Sainte Croix we have a multitude of versatile event spaces for your exclusive use during your stay. Located in the picturesque Dordogne, in Southwest France, our spaces are both typically historic to the region and offer contemporary elegance, providing the perfect combination to create a luxury and timeless feel for your celebrations.
As well as our extensive grounds and gardens, we have a large number of indoor spaces for you to use. From the classic Coach House & Stables to our intimate Petite Chapelle, we aim to have beautiful options for all sizes and styles of destination weddings and events.
The Coach House & Stables are a historic part of the Estate, situated at the opposite end of the Château’s courtyard to the living spaces and rooms. It is the ideal setting for a dinner, cocktail reception or to dance the night away!
Split into two separate spaces, this part of the Château once held the family’s coaches on one side, and the horses on the other, with a entrance for carriages in between. Today, this means that we have been able to create a highly versatile space. Each space can host around 70 seated guests, which means you can use one side for dining and the other side for your band or DJ set, without having to reuse a space. Combined, the spaces can seat up to 150 which provides an excellent Plan B for larger celebrations.
Opposite, in the courtyard, are separate lavatories for your guests to use and adjacent to the Coach House & Stables we have a catering kitchen space which your caterers can use to facilitate an easy and seamless event.
We aim for the spaces to be a blank canvas for your imagination, to see your visions for your day come to life. The spaces can be used for your ceremony, cocktail, canapés, dinner or dancing. They also flow out onto the main courtyard, providing shade and shelter if needed for al fresco celebrations.
The Coach House & Stables are built in the beautiful Périgord Stone, typical to the area, which glows a beautiful honey colour in the evening light. The rooms feature ornate chandeliers and mirrors on the walls to further lighten and decorate the space.
If you’ve been searching for the perfect backdrop for your grand entrance, look no further than this magnificent and elegant staircase in the entrance of the Château. The foyer below is the most discerning setting for a drinks reception and leads to the main courtyard on one side and out onto the stunning gardens behind.
We are fortunate to have many glorious spaces both inside and out at Château de Sainte Croix, meaning that we can host your perfect day at any time of the year. Our beautiful Ceremony room is ideal for a romantic ceremony for up to 80 guests. It can also be used as an additional indoor dining space, an area for games or dancing or a breakfast room.
The Grand Salon of the Château has been furnished to an exceptionally high standard with many decorative and artistic flourishes to create a unique space. At once, elegant, comfortable and stylish, the salon is ideal for evening get-togethers or day time apéros. You can also use this space as an indoor option for your ceremony or drinks reception.
Our Petite Chapelle is a part of the main Château complex and is a magical space for intimate ceremonies for up to 20 guests. Bathed in candlelight, it would be hard to find a more romantic setting for your wedding ceremony. It is also an ideal spot for a photo opportunity as newlyweds.
Unwind of an evening or before the big event in our relaxed and stylish billiards room with its country theming and plenty of space for your group to come together.
The main dining room of the Château comfortably seats 14 of your guests for breakfast or a relaxing meal during your stay. However, the room can also be used as a blank canvas if needed for another element of your event. It is tastefully decorated in greens and blues and features unique artworks curated by the owners, as well as a contemporary chandelier to complete the bright yet sophisticated ambience.
This kitchen certainly deserves its own spotlight for this beautiful space even features a glamorous kitchen island with a backlit amethyst centre. The perfect setting for a cocktail class or wine tasting or even for bringing the family together for a meal during your stay at the Château – you will truly have the opportunity to live the glamourous Château lifestyle! The kitchen also leads out onto the pool area and enclosed Walled Terrace which creates a perfect flow for entertaining.
The cinema is tucked away in a cosy corner of the Château and is yours to enjoy during your stay. Settle down for a movie night or perhaps enjoy some previously captured family moments together to reminisce before the big day?
