You can never have too many questions when it comes to your wedding day or special event and we’re here to help!
Here are some answers to the most common queries we’ve had from the many couples and groups we’ve welcomed to the Château.

What does the venue rental price include?
Booking a wedding or event at Château de Sainte Croix includes complete exclusive access to the Estate. The Sainte Croix Estate comprises of the Château itself and the extensive grounds. In total we offer 12 beautiful and unique ensuite bedrooms and then one apartment for four guests. We can comfortably sleep up to 32 guests.
During your stay, you and your guests can enjoy the luxury kitchen, dining area, Grand Salon, Coach House and Stables, heated swimming pool and beautiful grounds. We can provide children’s cots and beds in the rooms at no extra cost and several of the rooms are perfect for families.
The rental price excludes catering, furniture and decoration unless otherwise agreed in the contract.
Will I need to hire my own tables and chairs?
We have tables and chairs available to hire as part of our styling package. Please get in touch using the form at the bottom of this page for more information. You are also welcome to hire from an external company if you have a specific style in mind.
How many guests can I invite to my wedding?
Using both sides of the Coach House and Stables, we can seat 150 guests inside, or you can choose to have a marquee in the grounds or al-fresco in one of the many outdoor settings available. We can make suggestions about where the ceremony and wedding breakfast would work best for your guest numbers and help you find the right suppliers in the area.
Are there other places nearby where my wedding guests can stay?
Yes, we can host up to 32 guests on site, and we’re lucky enough to have lots of hotels and excellent Airbnb accommodation nearby. There are numerous other properties in the area which are available on Airbnb and there are some lovely hotels in the nearby towns, which are just five-ten minutes away.
Is there a curfew?
No, there is not a curfew, but we ask that celebrations after 10pm are taken inside.
Can I bring my own drinks?
Yes. Once again, we pride ourselves on our flexibility and our rental price includes exclusive hire of the venue, meaning that it is completely yours to enjoy for the duration of your stay. Therefore there are no limits on bringing alcohol on site (within reason!) so guests can provide their own drink for weddings and events. We also do not charge corkage. We can recommend some excellent local vineyards to supply wine for your special occasion.
Do you offer catering?
As a venue, we offer excellent flexibility. You can use the Château as a dry hire venue as the estate can be used as you wish and therefore there are no restrictions on catering. This means you can choose your own caterers or we can help recommend suppliers who would best suit your requirements. If you require help organising your catering, then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Are pets allowed on the premises?
Yes, we are a pet-friendly venue – we know how important it is to have all your loved ones in attendance, including fluffy family members! Just let us know at the time of booking that you’re planning to bring your pet(s).
