Getting to Château de Sainte Croix

We are very lucky at Château de Sainte Croix to enjoy the best of both worlds – seclusion in romantic countryside, while being just half an hour from our nearest airport, Bergerac. The area has excellent transport links, making it the ideal location for you and your guests.

If you are coming by air or rail then we recommend hiring a car so that you are really able to get out and explore this beautiful corner of France. However, taxis are also available and we can provide contacts and help arrange transfers as needed.

By road

Driving to us offers flexibility and convenience as well as the ability to explore. We have excellent road links when travelling down from the UK or from Paris with the fast toll roads. Taxis are also readily available if required.

By rail

Our local train station is Lalinde, which is just 20 minutes from the estate. Taxis are available for the short onward journey. Another great option if you are travelling from London, Paris or an airport without the need for car hire.

By air

We are just half an hour from Bergerac airport, with several other airports within easy reach.

Brive – 1 h 20 min
Bordeaux – 2 h
Toulouse – 2 h 10 min
Limoges – 2 h 15 min

By sea

Ferries between the UK and France are quick and inexpensive, especially if you are coming in a family group or have lots of extra luggage!

We recommend P&O Ferries to Calais. It is then easy to continue your journey south by car.
