“We booked the château at the very last minute for our vow renewal. As there were only 5 guests, I didn’t really expect them to want to accommodate us and thought it would be prohibitively expensive. I was wrong on both counts. Not only did we have full use of the château and the grounds, we were also made to feel as valued as if we were a group of 200.
“Their hostess, Georgia, made SUCH an effort in theming and dressing the venue in a Cuban theme (which was a lovely surprise) and went to such detail, it was superb. She had set a table up under a tree in the garden and dressed it with colorful glassware, exotic fruits and foliage. She had also set up a cocktail bar in the grass with comfortable seating and rugs and made Cuban cocktails. In addition, she’d also had to have a contingency for rain, which thankfully we didn’t need.
“Throughout the entire time we were there, she was attentive, made sure our glasses were always topped up, and coordinated the chef, photographer and celebrant with ease. She made the day so easy. In the evening, she helped move the celebrations inside where we were able to relax, play billiards and play music. We stayed over in their bridal suite which was stunning, and in the morning breakfast was waiting for us.
“The property itself is immaculate and amazing, the quirky interiors and grand spaces provide such a beautiful backdrop for a special occasion – but the hospitality shown and the willingness to go the extra mile to provide a day beyond my wildest dream is what makes this place special.
